Emaline Delapaix is an Australian singer songwriter that writes ethereal folk/pop songs for piano, acoustic guitar and celtic harp. Some say she sounds a little like Kate Bush or Tori Amos, but she also loves a lot of Scandinavian music: music that invokes the weather like storms and warm sunsets. Her lyrics explore the human condition and thoughtful themes such as mental health, mindfulness, ancestors, chronic illness, love, animal welfare, women's empowerment, travel/adventure and healing nature. After a difficult year in 2010, Emaline decided to quit her day job in Toronto Canada and moved to an isolated fixed caravan in rural Eastern Germany, close to the Polish border where she taught herself to play 3 instruments and lived for a year and half before settling in Berlin as a full time musician. Since that time she has performed over 500 shows all over Europe, UK, Australia and Canada, creating a dedicated following and becoming well known for her genuine and passionate live performances. Most recently Emaline moved to North Yorkshire after becoming chronically ill for two years with a break in music, seeking a quieter life with her Leeds born partner Lukas who also accompanies her at many concerts. Aside from music, Emaline also runs an online vintage shop called 'Wild Finds' selling wild and whimsical treasures from Germany/Scandinavia/UK, she loves foraging and herbal medicine and is also a vegan who regularly gives a % of her CD sales to local animal shelters while out on the road.
